Our Favourite Hairstyles

Since we are almost drawing to the end of July (we know, you can believe it!) We thought why not give it all of our lovely clients/followers/visitors new to Buzby some last-minute summer hair inspiration/trends that we were obsessing over in the month of July. All of which came straight out of our very own salon’s doors, which means that not only will you know they are the real deal, photographed by our stylists, unedited and fresh out of the salon seat, but also Buzby approved. These were just a few of the fresh looks coming out of Buzby that even had our very own stylists drooling over;
1. Faux balayage

Balayage 🔥 we love it, everyone loves it. Yes, it’s beautiful. But there is a difference, this look was actually achieved using foils, not painting, for maximum impact. Don’t be fooled by painting. It’s for specific results and bases. If you want this level of lightness on a dark base, foils are the only way to do it. You’ll have yourself a balayage effect but you’ve just cheated the process slightly. This transformation was on Grace’s client. The perfect clean and creamy blonde. Who else is obsessed? We think if this mane was a nail look it would 100% be a French manicure, clean, simple but undeniably classy and we love it. 💕

2. Golden and warm

Warmth FYI you will be seeing a whole lot of this summer. We are predicting this is going to be. major. Opting for warmer tones in the hair helps your colour appear healthier and brighter and working with the natural warmth means your chosen tone will last a whole lot longer. It increases the shine in your mane and it looks stunning. We love it! Are you guys feeling it too? This particular balayage and root melt on Grace’s client showcases perfectly what we mean when we say opting for warmer tones helps your hair to appear shinier and brighter. ✨ We also love a root melt on any hair look, it makes colour so much less high maintenance and compliments a balayage so well, plus it’s easier to grow out so you’ll have more time with your colour before needing a refresh!💛

3. Bronde goddess

Bronde. You have probably heard it a million times already this summer. Why? Because look at it! Bronde is the perfect choice for those who want to switch up their colour (either from blonde-brunette or vice versa) without going the whole way and losing any of their natural tone or quality of hair. If you are a natural brunette having a bronde balayage is the perfect way to brighten and lighten up your mane, adding contrast and shine but maintaining your hair’s quality and health. It’s also the perfect colour for summer being that it looks like you have a naturally sunkissed mane and adds to a tan. Pick this colour and you’ll be feeling like a golden goddess.

4. Tequila sunrise mane

This mane is bringing us brave realness. At Buzby and Blue we have always loved our red-heads and this fiery red mane is no exception. Albert and Simon made this client feel like a whole new woman just in time for summer with this incredible transformation. Albert added length and volume using perfectly colour-matched easilock extensions. Red is a vibrant and edgy colour and without the need for going super light or super dark it’s great for someone who wants to be noticed and wear a signature hair colour that is bold and bright. Trust us, the red trend is not slowing down anytime soon and what better time to try it than in the glorious sunshine where it is going to look its best.

5. Money piece highlights

This style of colour is ideal for any client wanting to be super light against the face but needs something low maintenance at the same time. Louisa kept depth and natural colour throughout the rest of the hair so there was not a dramatic difference between the face-framing and the rest of the hair. The perfect money piece balayage looks like you have perfectly sunkissed hair, naturally highlighted and it complements your natural tone. This particular mane was copper-toned which we also love in the warmer months.

6. Summer blonde

We love this gorgeous summer blonde. Did you know when opting for blonde going for a golden cream makes your hair even brighter? Ash absorbs sunlight, gold reflects it. Gold doesn’t mean yellow. This is the perfect example of a bright summer blonde and we are fully here for it. This mane was created by Grace. At Buzby and Blue, we believe nothing beats a fresh balayage just in time for the warmer months especially when it’s lightening up a dull blonde. This look offers brightness as well as a soft, dimensional appearance to your hair colour.

7. Icy blonde balayage

Icy Blonde balayages are always a favourite here at Buzby and Blue and this is a picture of balayage teamwork at its best! This mane was perfected by Albert and Grace. If you usually go ashy, you need to find a balance of warm and cool tones for summer. The style still has some warmth to it because of the root and would look great with a summer glow. Dimensional blondes are a must for summer, where the hair looks sunkissed and has plenty of depth and dimension but still looks natural.

8. Dark chocolate

Going darker for summer is cool and unexpected, but the warm undertones still give it a sunny feel. Brunettes also strive in the summer with hair that looks naturally highlighted in the sun and has plenty of contrast and depth whilst still looking rich and classy. Don’t forget whilst most highlights you see are blonde and caramel, those aren’t your only options. In fact, some cool-toned, chocolate brown lights on dark brown or black hair add dimension to your hair without looking unnatural.

9. Copper

People love copper because it tends to have a subtle golden undertone, but gets a little pop of brightness from the orange. Copper is on the ‘warmer’ side of red since all the components of its base include warm shades like yellow, orange, and gold. Copper hair to us is the sassier sister to auburn and has the brighter and bubblier sister to burgundy. It’s a super-warm, rich tone that comes with a bit of a zing, like a copper penny. as far as red hair colours go, it’s one of our personal favourites and it makes the perfect unique colour for the warmer months.
