The recent team awards night was a spectacular celebration of their hard work, creativity and unwavering commitment. Hairdresser of The Year: Gemma S

The hairdresser of the year award is a prestigious recognition that represents the pinnacle of hairdressing excellence. The nominees, Tiffany, Alice, and Gemma, demonstrated remarkable talent and dedication. However, Gemma stood out with her impressive statistics – 67% of her clients rebook, and she maintains a phenomenal 95% client retention rate. Gemma not only excels in her skills but also goes above and beyond in supporting her colleagues and efficiently managing her schedule. Congratulations, Gemma!

Employee of The Year: Sophie

The employee of the year nominees included Sophie, Louisa, and Alice. All have made significant contributions to Buzby and Blue over the years. However, Sophie’s outstanding support to the salon and her role in managing the academy for future Buzby stars earned her the well-deserved title of Employee of the Year. Her forward-thinking approach and dedication to the growth of our salon business truly set her apart.

Beauty Therapist of The Year: Chloe
Chloe received the beauty therapist of the year award for her exceptional growth and transformation over the last few years. She has embraced the role of Beauty Manager with enthusiasm, introducing fresh ideas and working tirelessly, often outside regular hours, to take the beauty department to new heights. Well done, Chloe!
Receptionist/Admin of The Year: Sam
The receptionist of the year award was a close contest this year, with three exceptional candidates. Sam emerged as the winner, thanks to her tireless work and impressive multitasking skills. She’s known as the “Stock Queen” and keeps things running smoothly while spreading her infectious enthusiasm throughout the salon.
Best Dressed: Grace

While we believe our team always dresses beautifully, Grace’s dedication to looking amazing every day has stood out. Her extra effort and impeccable style earned her the best dressed award, as voted by the staff.

Assistant of The Year: Honor
The assistant of the year award recognises the exceptional performance of trainees within the team. Honor, a young and dedicated member of the assistant team, impressed us with her ceaseless energy and potential as a future hairdressing star.
Loyalty Award: Jenny
The Loyalty Award is a special recognition for an individual who has demonstrated unwavering commitment to Buzby and Blue. Jenny, a fantastic stylist with over 12 years of dedication, is not only a pillar of loyalty but also brings an infectious personality to the salon.
The New Buzz Award: Alice
Our newly introduced “New Buzz Award” is a special recognition for those who go above and beyond their regular duties. Kacey, Alice, Ellen, and Louisa were all acknowledged for their outstanding contributions. However, the award ultimately went to Alice, who plays a pivotal role in supporting the managers and the academy, and she truly stood out for her exceptional contributions.
Community Award: Ruby, Destiny, India, Megan
We wanted to show our appreciation to Ruby, Destiny, India and Megan for doing their bit in the community. Each week one of them visits Sage House and volunteers in providing hair services for those living with Dementia. This is a very important cause to us here at Buzby and Blue and we take pride in being able to say that our team participate in supporting this wonderful organisation.

We wanted to take a moment to say thank you and show our appreciate to our amazing Salon Manager, Louisa. She goes out of her way to support each individual in our Stylist team, as well as really caring from the bottom of her heart.
Special Thanks To: Paula
As our Business Manager Paula organised most of the awards night, we knew she wouldn’t be putting herself up for an award. Therefore, we wanted to take a moment to show our appreciation for everything Paula does for the whole team throughout the year. Many things wouldn’t be possible without the work Paula does as well as her innovative ideas. So a big thank you to Paula from the whole team!
These awards night not only celebrated individual achievements but also the collective effort of our outstanding team. At Buzby and Blue, we are privileged to have such talented, dedicated, and passionate individuals who bring the salon to life.
